resolve

public OAuthCimdClientMetadata resolve(String clientId)

Reads and checks the Client ID Metadata Document a client_id URL names. The URL is read through the platform's guarded fetcher: https on port 443 and a public address only, the address judged by the fetcher's own resolver when the connection opens, no redirect followed, at most Utils.CIMD_MAX_BYTES.

Parameters:

clientId - the client_id, an https URL

Returns:

the document's metadata

Throws:

IllegalArgumentException - when the client_id is not a URL the server may read

IllegalStateException - when the document cannot be read, or is not a valid one for this client_id
