The Groove Template file is a combination of HTML code and groovy code blocks. The usage of eXo IDE gives the possibility to create and edit those files in editors.
To create a new groovy template, do as follows:
Step 1: Go to New > Groovy Template on the toolbar;
or Select File > New > Groovy Template on the top menu. The editor will open a new empty file.
Step 2: Add content and the code will be highlighted.
Step 3: Save the file selecting File > Save As on the top menu or clicking the Save As icon on the toolbar. With groovy template file Outline Panel and autocomplete, but only in HTML tags by now, can be used.
