prepareForAuthentication

public static URLConnection prepareForAuthentication(URLConnection connection)

Prepares an url connection for authentication if necessary.

Parameters:

connection - the connection to be prepared

Returns:

the prepared conection

decode

public static String decode(String url)

Decodes the specified (portion of a) URL. Note: This decoder assumes that ISO-8859-1 is used to convert URL-encoded octets to characters.

Parameters:

url - The URL to decode, may be null.

Returns:

The decoded URL or null if the input was null.

prepareForSSL

public static URLConnection prepareForSSL(URLConnection connection)

Prepares an url connection for authentication if necessary. It disables trust verification in the remote cert, and so should only be called if the certicate check should be skipped.

Parameters:

connection - the connection to be prepared

Returns:

the prepared conection

prepareInputStream

public static InputStream prepareInputStream(URL url,
                                             boolean acceptAnyCertificate)
                                      throws IOException

Prepare url for authentication and ssl if necessary and returns the input stream from the url.

Parameters:

url - url to prepare

acceptAnyCertificate - true if the certicate check should be skipped

Returns:

input stream from url

Throws:

IOException - re-thrown
